This exhibition delves into the rich and often overlooked intersection of Queerness with the realms of Mythology, Fantasy, and Folklore.
For centuries, narratives of Queer existence have been systematically marginalised, erased from historical records and misrepresented in ways that perpetuate harmful stereotypes and deny the full spectrum of human experience. This deliberate exclusion has not only silenced countless voices and experiences but has also distorted our understanding of the past and limited our imaginations of the future.
This exhibition is part of the Melbourne Midsumma Festival and welcomes all Folx fond of Folklore, Servants of the Supernatural and those who revel in the re-imagination of ancient tales!
