    If you would like to remain anonymous in this exhibition (we understand that not everyone is 'out') that is totally fine! Please indicate in the submission form if you would like to go by an alternative name or pseudonym instead :)

  • Magic, Fantasy, Folklore, mythology, fairytales, creatures, literary characters, theatre, the ancient world, the occult and all things fantastical!

    • Works under 60cm - $35 each

    • Works between 60cm and 1m - $45 each

    • Works over 1m $50 each

    • Gallery takes 30% commission on sales

    • It is the responsibility of the artist to ensure that all information provided is accurate

    • Artists must ensure that their work is not for sale on any other platforms throughout the duration of the exhibition

    • Artists spots in this exhibition are not secured until payment has been made

    • This is an official Midsumma Festival Event that celebrates the Victorian Queer community, hate speech and anti social behaviour will not be tolerated (Boo!)

  • “Midsumma is Australia's premier queer arts and cultural organisation, bringing together a diverse mix of LGBTQIA+ artists, performers, communities and audiences.

    Our primary event, Midsumma Festival, usually runs over 22 days in Melbourne's summer (January/February) each year with an explosion of queer events that centre around hidden and mainstream queer culture, involving local, interstate, and international artists.”

  • ~ Exhibitions will run for two weeks (12 days including installation and de-installation)

    ~ Opening reception is from 6:00 - 8:30 pm on the first Friday of the exhibition (this opening will be shared with other artists exhibiting at the same time)

    ~ Exhibitions and openings are supervised by gallery staff.

    ~ Gallery will take 30% commission (inc. GST) on all sales

    ~ Artists are required to organise the collection of their artwork. De-installation will be on the last Sunday of the exhibition at 5pm, (staff will be present to help)

  • ~ Promotion of your exhibition on our social media platforms (instagram & website) and our Artefact Newsletter.

    ~ Featured on our website in the lead up and during the exhibition.

    ~ Customers can buy your works online through out website

    ~ Vinyl signage with your name and exhibition title on front window and in space

    ~ Work with a small but passionate team who will strive to bring your vision to life

    ~ Opening night celebration with bar and affordable drink options

    ~ Exhibition installation. Our technician handles installation (no need to install yourself)

    ~ Gallery sitting / staff during weekday and weekend gallery hours
