Jan Reid

In my artwork I want to create a ‘Sense of Place’, an icon for the viewer to sit with and reflect upon. My inspiration for creating my multi-media artwork comes from a reservoir of collected experiences in the natural world, mainly from the bush and seascapes around the Great Ocean Road. I began to practice art as a mature adult. I love the process of creation with all its challenges, frustrations, joys and lessons from life. I hope viewers experience some visual magic, sense of calm and of place while viewing my work, that they feel “Their Place.”

Christine Sender

Colour, light, sound, aromas and a certain energy and vibrancy: it goes without saying that this is Morocco. Its landscape, built forms and people are the inspiration for these artworks. An energy lies in the Atlas Mountains, in seemingly uninhabited valleys concealing lush oasis, in ancient ksars and kasbahs standing proudly and timelessly. The souk, with its ancient, labyrinthine laneways and welcoming soup kitchens, evidence of a palpable life force. These abstract works using acrylic, oil, cold wax and collage evoke the vibrancy of the magnetic spectacle that is Morocco.

Lyn Luck

Lyn’s paintings are an experiment in shape, colour and texture. Mixing and juxtaposing unexpected colour combinations while reflecting the power and colour of nature. Lyn breaks the mould of traditional painting by extending her artwork beyond the confines of the canvas, asking the viewer to consider where the painting begins and ends.
