The inspiration for Kath’s recent works emerges from coastal walks, rocks, ledges, kelp, rock pools which have shaped the construction and surfaces of these vessels. The making method arises from an ongoing exploration of winding and wrapping strips of clay around each other as the form takes shape. Kath is interested in the making process being revealed in the resulting form.
