‘Sea Spirit’ was once a square cut post and I had no intention of creating what came through. My first response was “Here we go, another figure”.
I was surprised by her presence, grace and pose. Protecting her expecting child. Totemic, archetypal and a monument unto herself. Left cracked, chiseled and raw as was a choice not to cover over and conceal her honesty.
