This series reflects a quiet shift—an inner current pulling beneath the surface of daily life. Through linocut printmaking, collage and clay, I explore the tension between surrender and control, stillness and motion, solitude and self-awareness.
The ‘Somewhere’ lino-cut print works were created during a period of reorientation and experimentation. When the turmoil of external life is upon me, I find myself listening more closely to internal rhythms and the slow pull of intuition. Being by the sea feels like I am yielding to motion that isn’t always visible or linear. I’m quiet… listening—carried by instinct, memory, and the rhythms of things greater than myself. When I’m alone I am not lonely, and sometimes I am purposeful, even when I appear to drift.
My Anybody Pots reflect the turmoil and quiet persistence required in the quest for bodily autonomy in gender dysphoria. The inside is screaming while the outside looks like its calm, thoughtful. Each ‘anybody’ is bronze to depict strength and resilience. They are purposefully non-gendered as the figures ask for engagement and acceptance. They are dedicated to Gab.
